Guest Post: 10 Easy and Romantic Hairstyles for a June Bride

When you’re styling your own hair for that June wedding, be inspired by some of this summer’s hottest wedding hair trends. June bridal trends include soft waves, tight curls, fancy updos, and sleek ponytails. While some hairstyles are a little more complicated to pull off than others, there are a few easier styles that will give you that romantic, innocent look you’re after. If it’s going to be especially hot at your wedding destination this June, consider an updo or wearing your hair half up for comfort. I hope all the soon-to-be-brides out there will get some idea from my article. I’m getting married this July and I thought it would be a wonderful idea to share my thoughts about hairstyle.

Here are ten easy and romantic hairstyle ideas for any June bride:

#1: Sleek Ponytail

A simple but chic look for any modern bride, the sleek ponytail only takes minutes to do and it’s one of the lasting looks that almost anyone call pull off. Just make sure to use a wide paddle brush to smooth and straighten the hair, and flat iron your hair with a straightening serum to create a super-sleek look.

#2: Classic French Twist
A tight French twist with a few loose tendrils framing the face can be a great match for the June bride wearing a strapless dress or a halter dress. This super-romantic look is one of the best styles for round, oval, and square faces because it really frames the face and brings out the cheekbones.

#3: Half-Up with Tight Curls
If you’re wearing a pretty headpiece or a tiara, you can leave half of your hair down and curl it into tight ringlets for a romantic look. Pull the hair to the back of your head very loosely and pin it in place. Use a texturizing spray to enhance the curls and increase their staying power! This look works well on all face shapes.

#4: Messy Chignon

This is one of the easiest wedding hairstyles for any bride to do herself. Pull hair back in a loose bun and pin back any loose pieces of hair with decorative pins. Let some tendrils fall in front of the face to create a messy look.

#5: Sleek and Curly Updo
Another option for brides who are planning to wear a tiara or headpiece is the sleek and curly updo. For this style, you’ll need to curl your hair using a wide-barreled curling iron and then wrap it up tightly in a bun. Let the ends hang loose so you can wrap the hair around the bun and secure in place with pins.

#6: Extreme Side Part Ponytail

Another chic and sophisticated look for the bride wearing a more avant-garde dress is the sleek ponytail with an extreme side part. This is a good match for brides with round or oval faces as it does draw attention to the eyes and cheekbones.

#7: Extreme Curl Updo
If you want a more glamorous look for your wedding, curl your hair into super-tight curls using a one-inch curling iron all the way to the crown. Part your hair to one side and twist the hair up into a very high updo. Let the curls cascade down and then pin them to the back of the head to create a “fountain” effect. This is another good match for brides who want to draw more attention to the collarbone and shoulders when wearing a strapless dress.

#8: Deep Side Part with Wavy Hair
When you’re planning a fairytale wedding this summer, wear your hair down with soft waves and style it in a deep side part with a sparkling pin or flower on the opposite side. This is a beautiful and elegant look for round, square, and oval face shapes. It doesn’t work so well with long or rectangle face shapes because it can elongate the neck.

#9: Sideswept Updo

A classic and timeless look, the sideswept updo is a great match for round and heart-shaped faces because it accentuates the cheekbones and minimizes a wide forehead. Get this look by curling your hair before pulling it up into a loose updo and sweep longer bangs to the side.

#10: Long and Soft Waves Source: http://tamunatko.blogspot.com/2011/05/soft-waves-and-glossy-curls-spring.html

If you don’t care to wear your hair up or pin it back, let it hang loose by either parting it down the middle or to the side. Add a light curl using a large-barreled curling iron so that you can create very soft, textured waves. This looks absolutely beautiful on brides with medium to longer length hair and can always be pulled back in a loose ponytail later in the day if needed.
