I love reading about behind the scenes from youtubers. I love to see their set ups and how they do everything. Most times, i'm COMPLETELY blown away by how fracking AMAZING their setups are and how elaborate and how EXPENSIVE things are or may look. Let me tell you, I am not a big youtuber, cameraman or anything.. therefore I do not think that I should be spending lots of money on an expensive set up. Besides, I have tons of other things i NEED to buy before an expensive setup for my videos lol!
I decided to show you my set up for my past video because it seriously made me laugh so hard. When it comes down to it, its just about finding things that are the right size/height to make it work! :D I do what I have to do to get good lighting - many times I lean things on my head or move things, put parchment paper on lights so its not so yellow... I have lots of tricks up my sleeves!
Here is the set up of my camera.. stacked on a bajillion things..
Here is the backdrop we used so laura's face wouldn't be so washed out. It is hanging there by two lamps.. and binder clips :)
Here I'm being a creeper! HAHA |
