We got a new car!!! Just kidding :P - Toyota Prius Prime Premium

We have regrets!!! *sigh* so let me tell you this whole story before I get into how cute and cool this Toyota Prius Prime Premium is!

(this was after the second snowstorm of having the car! lmao)

The awesome people at Toyota lent us a car for a week -- and we were SO excited to try it. We decided that the 2nd week in March would be PERFECT since we were going away on a church retreat and we can take it for a scenic ride and take some super cute shots with it! Lo and behold.. 1938749374 different snowstorms decided to come our way. My husband has driven Prius' before and was worried since we were driving to a place with a lot more snow than we got here in NY (which was already a lot!), we weren't sure if the Prius was better to drive than the SUV.

WE TAKE IT BACK! WE MADE A MISTAKE!

When we finally made it back to NY after our weekend trip and tried our Prius for the first time - we COMPLETELY regretted our decision! We wish we would had more time to take this baby for a spin!

Let me be the first to tell you.. I don't know ANYTHING about cars besides how they look, feel and ride. I dont know much about horse power, engines, tires, etc. lol. I leave that to the hubalubs! However, I HAVE rode in Prius' before and this one is unlike any of the old Prius' I've been in!

It's sleek, gives off cool vibes, almost like a sports car. Although it looks small, its surprisingly roomy. One of my favorite features is this huge touch screen monitor. It's probably one of the biggest I've seen and is super easy to navigate your music, gps, bluetooth, etc.

Another thing I really liked was that the dashboard was in the middle top of the car rather than right in front of your steering wheel. It helped me see all of the functions I'm used to seeing in an easier way.

And of course, we had to test to see how much space it actually had. We had some friends sit in the back seat and with all seats comfortably placed (like the front seat was not all the way up), there was still a good amount of leg room available!

We also put the trunk to the test. I'll be honest, I didn't trust it! lol. So we took ourselves over to Costco... got THREE cases of bottled waters and so many other random things and EVERYTHING FIT EASILY! I was like.. wut. I'm so shocked at how much room this cute little car has!

Lastly, it was such a smooth ride. It felt fast, but didn't feel bumpy. It moved quickly and I have to be honest, I felt pretty darn cool with it! I'm 100% sure that if we were to ride in rainy or slushy conditions, this car would've made it just fine. (sigh do you still feel my regrets lol!)

Because of this, I actually did get quite curious about the differences between the prime and the regular prius, as well as the whole gas + plug in stuff.. and I found this site SO helpful in answering frequently asked questions!

Overall, I'm thinking that the Prius has really advanced itself to another level with this car and I am kicking myself in the shin that we didn't spend more time with it! Thank you so much Toyota for letting us hang with your new 2017 Prius Prime Premium! We loved it! Thank you so much Toyota!

PopSugar Must Have October + Life Update

PopSugar Must Haves are some of my favorite subscription boxes on the market! It's a subscription box of beauty, lifestyle, food etc for 39.95/month. (They even have a "mini" box for 15.95... SO CUTE!)

The October Box sure didn't disappoint! For me, it was the perfect box for a rainy day to stay in (I themed it myself HAHA) I was expecting something halloween-ish, but there wasn't any! LOL!

Here's whats in the box :)
Henry Bendel Packable Umbrella: $58 | Lalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Bubble Bath or Shower Oil: $28 | My Cup of Cocoa: $4.99 | Morning Culture Mug: $16 | Makeup Eraser: $12 | Power Your Happy Book: $25 | Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen: $8.99

The first couple things I took out were the Lisa Sugar (founder of PopSugar)'s memoir. I've seen this all over social media and am SUPER excited to read it and get inspired!! I also LOVED that there was this cute mug and cocoa - makes me really feel like the holidays are coming!

The next set of items were more beauty/skincare items. It has a mini makeup eraser - which I have a bunch of the full size ones - so I'm excited to have a small one for travel! It actually works AMAZINGLY and get all of your makeup off easy! I'm also a liquid liner person, so I'm excited to try out this Revlon liquid eye pen! Lastly is the Lalicious shower oil and bubble bath - it smells SO Good!!! I don't tend to be a shower oil kind of girl, but because of the yummy sugary vanilla scent, I may give it a try! I'm hoping its not too oily - my husband always complains I use items that make him want to slip in the tub lol!

Last up was my FAVORITE thing in the box - the Henri Bendel umbrella. It's been raining a lot here in NY, so I was so excited to have another umbrella in my life - but this one is so chic and cute! It's definitely something I'll always wants but never would purchase because of the hefty price!

In total, this was a box worth $152.98! (WOW!) The umbrella alone made the whole box worth it! (seriously, I can't with this umbrella, I was so excited) I personally liked this box because it had awesome neutral items that I find most people would enjoy (except maybe the shower oil because some people may not like the scent!) What do you guys think?? Worth the price???

ftc. this box was sent to me by pop sugar to review, but all opinions are my own! x

Also, thanks to all my friends that reached out to me about my sickness. I had bronchitis and literally.. this cough is wicked. Thankfully my fever and stuff are gone... I was even able to enjoy (as much as I could) a weekend away to Atlantic City with good friends.

Thanks to my friends at DriveShop for loaning me this AWESOME Mitsubishi Outlander GT for us to ride in! Although it comfortably fits 5, there is an extra third row where we were able to squeeze 7 of us... LOL!

As you can see my hubby and my good friends boyfriend are totally living it UP! lol

Hope you all have a lovely week and stay healthy and safe!!! Xo

Sunday Morning Coffee: Fit + Healthy

I had a reality check the other day. I looked at my new Driver's License picture and it was so close and I had a DOUBLE CHIN. a DOUBLE CHIN! And i know that when I was taking the picture, I was trying to make sure it wasn't there... meaning that that double chin is always hanging around!

I am constantly on a journey that goes up and down with fitness. Because Felix and I love to go out with friends and enjoy good food... and our idea of a good time may be having drinks and singing karaoke rather than going for a good hike.. so needless to say, it's hard to remind myself to be healthy.

All excuses aside, I am always telling myself and Felix.. OK. it's time. It's time to get healthy. Two weeks later, whoops. off we go for another huge meal with friends or family. It's a horrible roller coaster of events and it's so annoying!

I've done a couple of new things these past couple weeks and it seems to be working (so far!). Especially because the Holidays are around the corner, I don't want to fall into a deeper hole and not be able to get myself out.  I hope hope hope.. I can keep this up to really make a lifestyle change. Here are the things that have changed:

1. I have a workout buddy. I have a friend who is really trying to get healthy as well - so we have a plan to go to zumba class twice a week. It's a very set schedule that we're trying to stick to. On Sundays, I try and drag felix to go for a brisk walk with me in the mornings. Occasionally if I'm feeling daring I'll do some strength stuff on a wednesday, but that has only happened once. HAHA. (told you when i'm by myself, it doesn't tend to work haha!)

2. I have a journal. I am trying to track everything I eat. It's actually been really helpful because when I don't think I eat much for the whole day, I notice CRAP I ate 4 pieces of chocolate and 20 gummies! You forget the extra stuff you eat!!!

3. I look at the nutrition facts when I'm at the supermarket. I love myself some Trader Joes, but sometimes I end up putting like EVERYTHING in my cart then I realize that I probably shouldn't have afterwards. LOL! Now I try to read the label before I put anything in my cart and if it doesn't meet the criteria, I don't put it in my cart. Fresh is the best. (although it spoils the fastest). I try and get fresh products so thats all I will want to bring during the week for lunch. Also, I ALWAYS have frozen veggies on hand incase I run out of produce! I have frozen broccoli, corn, mixed veggies - they have the best selection of these in trades!

Well those are my little changes that have been working so far. Hopefully I can keep this up. I really don't want the holiday cheer to get me down! After just 2 weeks of working out, I can feel my body getting more energy and strength. I also make sure to write all that down so I dont forget the steps I've made toward a healthier life!!!

Are you guys doing anything to make steps toward a healthier life? I'd love to hear your stories + encouragement! Let's inspire each other! xoxo
