Alright!!! I feel like i've been anticipating the launch of these concealers for SOSO long because Christina, the founder of Jouer, has been hinting at this product for so long!! SO EXCITED IT IS HERE -- and is completely worth all the wait and hype!

First Impressions: I'm LOVING IT! This product feels like second skin and doesn't feel heavy at all. It's incredibly smooth and definitely is creaseless. It's high coverage, and doesn't make my skin greasy or oily by the end of the day. I will have to try it out some more and let you know more thoughts!!! 

Overall, I'm really liking this product! What I think sets this product from others on the market are that it has skincare benefits in it. You use a makeup product, but not many makeup products provide skincare along with it. Because of that, I feel like it FEELS GOOD on my skin as I'm using it!

Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer Review

You guys knowww... I'm the ultimate concealer junkie - so when I Heard about the UD all nighter.. you knew I was all about that life! It claims to be a full coverage waterproof concealer that provides flawless matte coverage... for 24 hours!! It comes in 14 shades varying from fair warm to extra deep neutral.

Here are swatches of my personal shade that I use on my face which is in Medium Light Warm :)

Below are my thoughts:

Packaging: I love how pretty it is! It's really a stunning package that looks extremely luxurious. It's a pretty compact product so the doefoot can get to really precise areas. If you are trying to cover a bigger area, you will need multiple dips.

Texture: The product is what it says - it is extremely matte. If you have dry under eyes - DEFINITELY use an eye cream prior to using this. This product also dries down relatively quickly. I usually spot my whole face then blend out... in this case, I would do section by section. Although its blendable, its not like other concealer formulas. It is super concentrated in the spot that you placed your concealer and then you can blend in that area pretty effortlessly... it isn't quite as mobile as non matte concealers which I like (meaning it wont budge!)

Color: The color range is great - from very fair to deep with warm, cool and neutral tones. The pigmentation is also so fabulous! Covers even the darkest of blemishes and dark circles without the need of a corrector underneath. Something I did notice was that it oxidized on my face, so my under eye concealer ended up to be deeper than I would've liked. I ended up using a lighter concealer for under my eyes. Below is what it looks like under one eye LOL... doesn't it look like i dont even have bags!?


Lasting Ability: Let's be honest - I wasn't gonna try to see if it would last 24hrs.. however on a work day I am up with makeup on by 6:10am and I didn't get home one night until 11pm.. so that's pretty long! It definitely lasted until then! I had one side with setting powder and the other side without.. and both sides lasted really well! The side with setting powder did slightly crease. One thing I noticed that was awesome was that the concealer didn't seem to get greasy as my night went on (which is what usually happens to my face!)

Cost: The price point, although seems pretty standard at $29, there is only .12oz of product which is about a half of regular concealer prices. Therefore you are paying more money for the product you are getting, however I do feel like I need to use less than other concealers because of the extreme pigmentation of it.

Overall, if you have normal to oily skin - you would probably love this product. Although the cost is much higher than most, a little bit really goes a long way! (like I use about 1/3 of the amount I use with the shape tape) If you are thinking of purchasing, I would have to say - definitely try this out in store to see how the color wears first to see how it oxidizes or changes on your skin before purchase to make sure you have the correct color!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and Foundation

Way back when the Naked Skin line came out - I had purchased the UD concealer. Why I stopped, I'm wondering that now LOL!

One of the most unique things about the Naked Skin concealer is this awesome doefoot!!! Their doe foot applicators are one of my favorite applicators I've found yet! It dispenses just the right amount of product onto your face. 

 From L-R: Foundation shade 4.0, Concealer shade light to medium, Concealer shade medium to dark

Let's begin by talking about the foundation! This is the first time I've ever used UD foundation - and this one is really lovely! It claims to be lightweight and invisible and leave a semi matte, luminous finish. As you can see - it did a nice job of covering my face slightly - it almost seems like a nice soft focus feel. I can still see some blemishes peeking through, but definitely less visible! It was very weightless and felt like skin. It took a bit to dry (definitely over 5 minutes), but it did leave me with a semi matte finish. It didn't leave my face looking so caked up and flat a regular matte foundation! I am in shade 4, and although it was a perfect match for me - I could see how it could potentially be too yellow for some skintones - so hopefully they have other colors in their range!  

Then I took this lovely product to the next step and used the concealer as a highlight for my undereyes and anywhere the light would hit! I love this concealer as it is extremely pigmented, yet also weightless on the face. The only thing I will say is that I need to pick a lighter shade as almost every product seems to oxidize heavily on my face. This one didn't seem extremely drastic, but it was enough for me to notice half an hour later. 

Here we're trying to contour by using a shade darker and I'm placing it where my cheek bones would be and above my temples! -- seems like the perfect effortless look! 

And here we are - a perfectly contoured face that looks like my cheekbones are JUST that good! I like that this product doesn't allow my face become ashy as many products do. This one gave just the right bit of luminosity to make my skin look like 'my skin'!

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

If you know me, I'm a huge concealer junkie. I've tried them all. I think my obsession stems from wanting to cover my undereye bags. They've grown through the ages and because of my watery and oily eye area, often all concealers, mascaras and liners slide right off my eyes and settle under my eye. *CRIES*

The Cle de Peau concealer is my holy grail concealer because of its creamy yet dry formula that comfortably sits under my eye without budging while providing amazingly pigmented coverage. Unfortunately, at it's $70 price point, I'm always looking for a similar product.

Nothing has come close until I met this little fellow.

This concealer has such a unique texture. It's a liquidy, creamy, non sticky formula - might I even say, it is *almost* a liquid version of the CdP concealer. ;)

Okay, enough typing - let me let the pictures do the talking!

Here is my naked eye. I purposely made it a touch blurry to hide any significant flaws near my eye. HAHA! I feel shy :P 

Here's a shot of the concealer spotted all over my eye. Does this look crazy? This is how I actually put concealer around my eye. I spot it everywhere so it has the most even coverage lol. 

Here's how the product looks after I use my finger to blend it out: 

Here are my eyes, the left with no concealer and my right with concealer. How weird do my eyes look - I have no clue what I was looking at! 

I think that the picture tell it all. The coverage is beautiful as is the finish. It does do a great job of brightening my under eye area so I look awake and fresh. The lasting ability is the only part that falls flat on this product. With this product alone, it only lasted a couple of hours before it was gone! I learned that the only way to keep this product on my under eye is if I blot the product with a tissue on my face after I apply the concealer, then set it with a powder. :) 

Overall, amazing product. It will be my cheaper holy grail product and I will be ordering this over and over again! for SURE!

Asian Beauty Haul: First Impressions

So I was killing some time today shopping for some stuff before I go on a one month cosmetics fast :P and picked up some asian beauty things! So cute! I picked up three things, but got some nice little samples too :) (not pictured whoops!) I really got suckered in with packaging today... everything I got was just SO darn cute. I couldn't resist!

Apple Hand Lotion

First, I went to The Face Shop, which the one I go to, the people there are really nice, non intrusive and not snooty. usually I end up in stores where they are overly nice to try and get you to buy stuff and are all up in ur face, or they are really mean and not nice. I picked up this apple hand cream simply because it was just the cutest thing in the world. I mean let's be honest here, LOOK AT IT. who doesn't want to just WHIP out a fake little apple and fake people out by saying its lotion? I dont think I know one person. LOL.

The smell is PHENOMENAL. if you like apple-y scents. by god, you will love this! (aka if you are obsessed the MBD mask apple face mask, you will be obsesssed with this! :P) The hand lotion it self is incredibly watery. It's not greasy one bit and leaves ur hands feeling really smooth. Unfortunately, I found myself needing more pretty soon afterwards because my hands felt dry again. Would I buy this again? Probably. Mainly because of the smell and cute packaging. The product, meh. just okay. (they also have this in orange and lemon!)

FACE it - 4D Perfection Concealer Kit

I also picked up their new FACE it - 4D Perfection Concealer Kit. How beautiful is this packaging? (again, I know I am a sucker).. I love how this packaging has a small little mirror in the middle and its cool swivel packaging is really unique. I also love how it has a secret passage way for a sponge tip applicator!

The product itself is really nice. It's creamy, but not too heavy... but not too light. It's a really pleasant consistency and the highlighter is a nice dry highlighter that won't make u feel extra greasy. This product seems promising, but I will let you know in the future how it is :) --I'm in shade 23 (there were only 2 offered, this one and a lighter one).

Kim Won Hee Lip Gloss 

Lastly, I went to Beauty Credit. Their new Kim Won Hee lip gloss and blushes came out recently in this beauty credit. sigh again... my eyes were naturally drawn to the beautiful pretty crystal-y heart packaging. LOL. oy me.

They had a nice array of colors, but I of course got directed my eyes toward the more nude-ish colors. I think this was a pretty cute milky beige color (or as fuz likes to say MILK TEA!). When you apply it on, its less milky and more of that greasy feel. I felt as if I was putting on thinned out vaseline on my lips. (omg what if its just vaseline with color! lol) This for some people may be a good or bad thing. For me... it's neutral lol. In addition to that, the color was not as pigmented as I'd hoped. I can see the subtle color of it, but in all honesty, it looked more just like.... i put regular gloss on. On the upside, it's a pretty long lasting product. I put some on my lips about 2.5 hours ago and I can still feel it on my lips and they feel particularly hydrated. Thats a surprising plus! :)

Mac Cham Pale Collection!

OH MAC. Why do you keep coming out with new collections. SIGH. it's making me so annoyed because every time they come out with a new line, they have me tempted to get more!!!

Anyway, I picked up some items from the Cham pale collection and I picked up a longwear concealer (LOVE it). I didn't pick up a lot because although i LOVE my neutrals and champagnes, I found that I either had a lot of dupes (I have a LOT of neutrals and champagnes LOL) or they were entirely to shimmery and glittery for my liking. Here are the items I picked up!

So I ventured over with one of my closest friends and her niece and got bombarded by this woman that was trying to sell me the sparkly lip gelee (and put them all over our hands! AG), so I didn't get to play around with as much as I wanted (which might be a good thing)... so I didn't really get to play with the powders or lipsticks.

Onto my haul:)

I ended up picking up the dangerous cuvee paint pot because I felt like I didn't have any other colors like this. I have a lot of champagne-y paint pots and felt like this was more unique since this could be a really beautiful base for a smokey eye or a more day time look! it has these really beautiful sparkles in it -- when you put a matte shadow on top it look GORG! 

Next, I picked up the Tinted lip conditioner in Calm Mode. I really love their tinted balms, they are moisturizing and have a beautiful packaging. I love carrying it around in my purse. Any chance I get to pick up something that's milky pink I will. This did disappoint me a little bit because it kind of just looks like.... regular lip conditioner. I dont really see the color as much as I want to, but nonetheless, its still a beautiful balm. It also says it has lavender. I was deceived at first because i could NOT smell that lavender when I was at the store, or when you are smelling it out of the container.. but when you smudge it and put it on ur lips, the scent really comes out, and it's wonderful!! :) 

Then I picked up some Fix+ with lavender. I'm a little over half way with my regular fix+, but honestly... I'll just have to say it! I'm a sucker for lavender scents. I think maybe its psychological because I never sleep well, so in my mind I believe that lavender is solution to all my problems. I think the scent really helps calm my mind and makes me feel relaxed (again probably psychological).... but when I sprayed this, I knew I had to have it. It's nothing beyond what Fix+ is.. so if you don't care much for lavender or fix+, there is certainly no point in getting this... but if you are a sucker for lavender, DEFINITELY get this! 

I know a lot of u are like.. seriously? you spent the money just for the scent..? But let's be honest, if you loved the scent of chocolate ice cream and they had chocolate ice cream flavored fix+.. you know you'd be pickin' some of that sheezy up!! :P 

Lastly, I've been EYEING this concealer for so long and have been holding back (especially from doing my p10p), but since I was here, I decided why not. I absolutely adore this stuff so far! I've been using it every day on my under eyes (on top of my giorgio armani corrector) and on my blemishes, and it works like a dream! I am surprised it is not drying or cakey at ALL for my skin.. and it's incredibly buildable! I even used it on my good friend this morning when I was doing her make up for her engagement shoot! I will have to do a real full out review for you guys once i use it for more than a week though.. who knows what will happen! haha! btw if anyone is curious, I'm in NC30!
