Bridal Hair & Makeup Trial - long hair

Hi friends! I have a busy couple of weeks with lots of fun makeup/hair trials. busy season is starting! woot.

Here is lovely Ester :) She's such a fun, sweet lovin' lady - was so fun chit chatting with her and getting to know her better! She wanted an eye look that would compliment her greenish eyes, with a more contoured look and rosy lips. For hair she wanted her hair down and curled with some pinned on the side.

I decided to go for a golden (bordering on coppery) color for her lids with a more purplish toned grey color for the crease to enhance her eyes, add some fun contour on her cheeks and pairing it all off with a beautiful rose lip color.

Before - so sweet and cute! GAH! don't you wanna squeeze her?

After :) (what a goddess!)

MAC Viva Glam Nicki

Who loves Nicki Minaj!!!??? I do, I do! Unfortunately, her makeup is a little bit too doll-ish and out there for my liking! I was not a huge fan of her pink friday lipstick, as it was way too bright and pastel for my liking, but the viva glam. . . i was kinda diggin'!

It's a gorgeous bright pink which has some subtle coral color from certain angles. It has a satin finish, which leaves a nice sheen on my lips and is pretty opaque. It is definitely a fun summer color, although I will probably still opt to sheer it out with some balm ;)

Have a great friday! xx

Shop MAC, Cook MAC & Vera Collection

I was reallyyy excited about the new lip colors in the shop mac collection! I hopped onto the maccosmetics site and ordered them as soon as I could!!! Here is just a little haul of some of the goodies I picked up from that collection and the vera spring 2012 collection & some swatches :)

Here is the Pearlmatte face powder in Sunday Afternoon. It's a wonderful bright pink, fuchsia, and pale pink color. I would have swatches of this, but I may give this away to a friend or have a giveaway with it. It's not the color I thought it would be :( -- but it has such a cute little lady bug print on it - and is so girly!

Here are the pretty 4 stack of metallic crushed pigments in Aloha. Its a really pretty set of neutral, frosty colors. I'm really impressed with the color pay off and can't wait to play with them. Unfortunately, just swatching them caused such a mess! I am reminded why I hate using pigments because of the loose products that get lost everywhere. I agree with Temptalia in that I wish it was more similar to the pressed pigments such as the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill! Nonetheless, it is a gorgeous set of colors!

I think the stars of the newest collection: the pretty lipsticks!!!

Watch me Simmer - which is a FANTASTIC bright coral-y color. It is an amplified finish. It is perfect for the warmer weather - I cannot wait to whip this out to wear it! :)

Quick Sizzle - I was most excited about this color because I am in LOVE with hot pink/magenta-ish color, but I'm even more excited because it is a matte formula, which I have been obsessed with recently! What beautiful color pay off - I was so excited about this color, I put it on right away! It's currently on my lips! :)

Did you guys haul anything from the new Spring 2012 MAC collections? What were you most excited to see?? :)

Have a great day xx

MAC Sheen Extreme Lipsticks

Mar 16, 2011 | | 4 comments
Ok so I used up all gift cards. OK i cheated a little and spent an extra 7 dollars. well, at least i didn't go a WHOLE PRODUCT over, right? ;) I tried, really I did. I was even going to get another one, but I didn't want to let you guys down, so I only went a couple bucks over my project pan hehe!

I went to MAC and picked up 4 of their sheen extreme lipsticks... guys i LOVE THEM! When on lips, they are the most moisturizing feeling ever! It feels like I put on a lipbalm and then some lipgloss on top! it does NOT feel like I have a lipstick on! The downside to it is that it feels kinda dry once the product is actually gone - but for the 3-4 hours that it is on, its beautiful and feels wonderful!

Quite the Thing! I never gave it a second look because it looked SOOOO dark at the store, but the Mac Make up artist urged me to get it since it was one of her favorites but no one ever really gives it a chance! Lol! I love it! :) its a beautiful berry color- although I would personally choose this color more for a fall and winter look, but it would look gorgeous if you are looking to be a sultry queen in the evening ;)

Impeccable - my FAVORITE. You wouldn't think because its kinda a nudy rose color, bordering on brown, but it is an amazing every day lipstick that i can just wear and I have had at least 3-4 people say I love that lip color, what is that? Ah!!! I did really want bare again, but they are very similar, except this is just a bit darker with a rosy color. I just keep thinking... after my project pan....

Ultra Darling - This is another one that is more every day wear and is gorgeous! It's this pinky mauve color- it looks bright on my lips compared to the one above, but it looks beautiful! It kinda lifts up your face and looks so SPRING!!! without looking like too much. i love this!

Full Speed - I picked this up because I was feeling daring. when i put it on my hand it was NEON! I promise, it was like... glow in the dark!! but when i lightly put it on my lips (almost as if it were a stain), guysss, this is it for the spring! it's the perfect 'pastel' -coraly color for the spring without looking like TOO MUCH! so absolutely pick this up for the spring!!

absolute love the creamy, soft texture of these!

did any of you get any of these? how are you liking them?

Viva Glam GAGA 2 Review

Feb 21, 2011 | | 1 comments
I love my Gaga! I do, I do... but how do I feel about these new nude shades??

They are OK. haha!

The Lipstick itself is an amplified lipstick... and honestly, it's another nude that makes me look like a dead person. (What else do I expect!) --even with lipliner, i have to dab the lipstick on ever so gently to get it to look good. Although the color is nice, its easily dupe-able and takes too much maintenance for me to wear on a daily basis or to take to touch up!

The Lipgloss to me is a-whole-nother story! I'm loving it! It's a gloss version of the lipstick and its a nice opaque gloss. I love to top it over my favorite lipsticks and it just really adds a nice creamy, milky look on top! I absolutely adore it!

Swatches- top is viva glam gaga 2, middle is soft nude (just for comparison), bottom is the gaga gloss which is actually darker than what is shown!

Would I repurchase? Maybe......

for the love of Gaga & the cause... YES! :)

Mac Cham Pale Collection!

OH MAC. Why do you keep coming out with new collections. SIGH. it's making me so annoyed because every time they come out with a new line, they have me tempted to get more!!!

Anyway, I picked up some items from the Cham pale collection and I picked up a longwear concealer (LOVE it). I didn't pick up a lot because although i LOVE my neutrals and champagnes, I found that I either had a lot of dupes (I have a LOT of neutrals and champagnes LOL) or they were entirely to shimmery and glittery for my liking. Here are the items I picked up!

So I ventured over with one of my closest friends and her niece and got bombarded by this woman that was trying to sell me the sparkly lip gelee (and put them all over our hands! AG), so I didn't get to play around with as much as I wanted (which might be a good thing)... so I didn't really get to play with the powders or lipsticks.

Onto my haul:)

I ended up picking up the dangerous cuvee paint pot because I felt like I didn't have any other colors like this. I have a lot of champagne-y paint pots and felt like this was more unique since this could be a really beautiful base for a smokey eye or a more day time look! it has these really beautiful sparkles in it -- when you put a matte shadow on top it look GORG!

Next, I picked up the Tinted lip conditioner in Calm Mode. I really love their tinted balms, they are moisturizing and have a beautiful packaging. I love carrying it around in my purse. Any chance I get to pick up something that's milky pink I will. This did disappoint me a little bit because it kind of just looks like.... regular lip conditioner. I dont really see the color as much as I want to, but nonetheless, its still a beautiful balm. It also says it has lavender. I was deceived at first because i could NOT smell that lavender when I was at the store, or when you are smelling it out of the container.. but when you smudge it and put it on ur lips, the scent really comes out, and it's wonderful!! :)

Then I picked up some Fix+ with lavender. I'm a little over half way with my regular fix+, but honestly... I'll just have to say it! I'm a sucker for lavender scents. I think maybe its psychological because I never sleep well, so in my mind I believe that lavender is solution to all my problems. I think the scent really helps calm my mind and makes me feel relaxed (again probably psychological).... but when I sprayed this, I knew I had to have it. It's nothing beyond what Fix+ is.. so if you don't care much for lavender or fix+, there is certainly no point in getting this... but if you are a sucker for lavender, DEFINITELY get this!

I know a lot of u are like.. seriously? you spent the money just for the scent..? But let's be honest, if you loved the scent of chocolate ice cream and they had chocolate ice cream flavored fix+.. you know you'd be pickin' some of that sheezy up!! :P

Lastly, I've been EYEING this concealer for so long and have been holding back (especially from doing my p10p), but since I was here, I decided why not. I absolutely adore this stuff so far! I've been using it every day on my under eyes (on top of my giorgio armani corrector) and on my blemishes, and it works like a dream! I am surprised it is not drying or cakey at ALL for my skin.. and it's incredibly buildable! I even used it on my good friend this morning when I was doing her make up for her engagement shoot! I will have to do a real full out review for you guys once i use it for more than a week though.. who knows what will happen! haha! btw if anyone is curious, I'm in NC30!

Any questions or reviews- feel free to ask!!

Take care everyone! Hope everyone's new year is everything and more! xoxo
