Benefit Galifornia Blush Swatch and Review

Gal-i-fornia girls la la la!

Was so excited to receive the new Benefit Galifornia Blush! Not going to lie - even though I llooooove the Benefit boxed blushes, I quickly dismissed ordering it since it looked similar to my other fave blushes (lol!) However... the amazing little fairies at Benefit sent over this awesome blush to me along with these fun glasses! So now of course... I have to try it :P

Below are swatches of the blush:

First time using on Cheek (spray overlay is on cheek)

Without direct sunlight

In the sun!! :) So glowy <3

Here's my breakdown:

Color: This is definitely a glowy pinky-coral color. When you first use it, there is gold spray overlay on it - however once you use that up, there is still some golden sparkle within it. The color is definitely sheer when u first put it on, but is very buildable.

Longevity:  with a primer and foundation, it lasted all day for me. The glow looked beautiful! When I first used it, the golden overlay was a bit much for my face - however once the spray was gone (one to two uses), it left the perfect golden look.

Smell: OMG it smells SO GOOD. I can't stop smelling it. In fact... I would use it just for the smell! I can't quite put my finger on it - it smells kinda like coconut and vanilla, but with a hint of citrus. It's refreshing yet beachy and I can't get enough of it!

Packaging: I love their box powders because its super compact, yet it comes with a mirror as well as the brush. The brush is actually the perfect companion as it allows for more pigmentation than when I used my usual blush brush!

Overall: it's a gorgeous summer color to wear and now I use it daily.. however, it's not incredibly unique as I feel like I may have some similar colors... however, what does make this product unique is the smell! With the smell and the ease of the packaging, it definitely is a wonderful product to bring along with you!!!

You can purchase this product for $29 from Sephora, Ulta, Benefit, or wherever Benefit Cosmetics is sold! :)

ftc. PR sent this to me for review. Thank you!

Shiseido Spring Lacquer Rouge Review

Hey friends! Sorry long time no blog. Work has been really crazy since it's getting to the end of the year! I already can't wait for summer haha! :P

Anyway! I have a review coming to you for shiseido's lacquer rouges :)

I've been quite familiar with this product as it has always been one of my favorite products. Although it feels like a lipstick, it tends to be a bit more long lasting than other lip products while not compromising the moisturization of a good lip product. In fact, I wore it for my wedding. And even though its not a stain, it was able to withhold it's staying power with only a couple of touch ups, while not making my lips flake or become cracked and dry.

Shiseido came out with some new colors for their spring line, and I've been really loving the new colors. lots of lovely shades in the pink family (my favorite!).

Here are two of my favorites!
This has been my favorite go to color for the weekend! this is in VI324 which is superfun bubble gum pink that leans toward violet. It's a gorgeous cooltoned color. If you're obsessed with the radiant orchid color like I am, you NEED this!

I love to wear this on a day to day basis for work. It's the perfect everyday color. This is in RD321 and its this reddish pink color that looks so natural on the lips. This is what I wish my lips always looked like haha!

And here's my breakdown:

Packaging: although sleek and compact, this is the one thing that irks me. All you can see is the #ing at the bottom but from the outside they all look the same. I have over 8 of these, so every time I try and find a color I have to either sit and open half of them or I have to memorize the color from its 5 letter/number code haha!

Texture: I love this texture! although its not for everyone. It goes on almost like a liquid lipstick. Dries slightly on your lips to almost kind of adhere to your lips. It doesn't feel heavy like most lip lacquers do. It has a slight tackiness, but is not weighty, so it doesn't FEEL sticky. It also does not feather out in any way... definitely stays put where it is!

Color: The opacity is beautiful in these! Usually one coat is enough (although it usually takes more than one dip in the pot since each dip doesn't give as much lip product) It gives a gorgeous semi satiny finish.

Moisture: This is my hero! Although you would never know it until you use this daily, this does a great job of helping my dry lips. It's moisturizing without feeling too slick and does help to improve my peely rough patches on my lips!

Hope you give these a try! I absolutely adore this formula. It's actually what i wish the YSL glossy stains felt more like, but I'm glad that I found it in shiseido! :)

You can check out the spring lacquer rouge online at sephora or shiseido.com. I also find the online coloring is not exact to the colors, so either look up swatches or go to a counter for accurate coloring :P

Happy shopping!

ftc. these were sent to me, but i was not asked to review any of these. this is my personal opinion to you since i actually really love these and have loved these for a long long time! :) just wanted to share the goodness! xox

Jouer Lip Glosses Swatches + Review

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love Jouer glosses. These have essentially taken over all my glosses and are now among the most used glosses that I have.

These are among some of the most moisturizing, non sticky, hydrating and plush lip glosses I own. They are packed with Vitamin E, jojoba seed oil and shea butter for this amazingly buttery, smooth pout.

I have these lip glosses in four different shades. Three of these glosses are a creamy milky finish and one of them is more of a jelly finish. I didn't choose any lip glosses with shimmer, but they do have a great range of shimmery glosses as well!
I love the sleek, simplistic packaging of these! L-R: Malibu, Divine, Peony, Wind
It has a standard doe foot applicator :) I do wish that each time I took it out, it packed more gloss on the applicator. Maybe this is because I want to douse my lips in the color, but I have to dip approximately 3 times to get the amount of gloss  I'd want!
Naked Lips. Oh. So DRYYYY!
Malibu: It's a jelly-ish finish. Although the color in the tube is pretty 'hot pink' it only gives a lovely hint / wash of color. It almost looks like a glossy reddish pink stain.

Peony: This has as nice creamy finish. I love this dreamy cool pink color. This looks great on its own, but looks SO nice layered on top of colors. This always just gives that perfect hint of pink.
Wind: This also has as creamy, milky finish. This is literally for me, the perfect nude pink. It looks great layered, but gives enough color to wear on its own. I love how it has just the perfect amount of pink to not make me look dead! haha!
Divine: This is such a lovely creamy color. They describe this as a creamy rose. It's such a perfect my lips but better color. It this neutral, slightly brown rose color. It looks SO effortless! This is probably my favorite of the bunch!
Here are the swatches. Top to Bottom: Peony, Wind, Divine, Malibu
Overall, I am just so obsessed! I just wish that they had more retailers close to me so I can check out the colors before I purchase! All the colors I have purchased, I absolutely adore, so it may be worth the gamble! lol! :)

You can purchase these lip glosses for $20 online at jouercosmetics, nordstrom, and at these retailers
