GLOSSYBOX US January 2014 Unboxing

WOW. Glossybox started the year off with a BANG! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this box!

Glossybox is a monthly subscription service, where you get at least 5 full size or deluxe size products. Each month never ceases to amaze me. At the $21 price point per month, it's always pack filled with products I love and am excited to try. I've tried many subscription services, but this is the first one where I actually get through most of the products (rather than being in my "sample box" and never using any of them! haha!)

Let me show you why I'm so excited!

Here are the contents inside. Don't die of jealousy please (LOL!)
Beauty Blender (!!!!!) - I absolute LOVE my beauty blenders. I have like 20 pink ones that I pretty much use for everything in life... skincare, foundation, blush, concealer, clients, etc. I've never tried the pure one, so I'm so excited to be able to try this out!!!! Retail: $19.95 [full size + extra cleanser!]

Toni&Guy Hair meet Wardrobe Sea Salt Texturising spray: I love anything that will give me a 'beachy wave' especially because my hair is not naturally pin straight. This will allow me to towel dry and create body without working to hard! Can't wait to try this baby out! Retail: $14.99 [Sample value: $5.51]

Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush: This is SO beautiful! I generally don't gravitate toward loose blushes, but this one is recommended by dermatologists because its so gentle on skin... and the color is stunning! Retail: $20.00 [full size]

The balance Me super toning body wash: an invigorating, tone enhancing, naturally foaming body wash. If it says 'toning' sign me up! lol! this scent is a blend of juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender. It's suchh a nice scent! I can't wait to try this baby out. Retail: $14.00 [sample size value: $7]

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream: SO excited about this. Vichy is such an awesome brand, and I really needed a good night cream. This one melts easily to skin and locks in moisture for 48 hours. I tried it last night and it was so lovely, luxurious and hydrating. I'm so glad I got to try this sample in this crazy dry, cold weather! btw i LOVE when sample sizes have great packaging like this one! Retail: $31.00 [sample value: $9.12]

Total Value of this box: $61.58.

Again, can you see why this is my favorite beauty box? You get such amazing deluxe samples and in this box already there are two full size products! And they are all products I'm definitely super excited to try. Glossybox got it right! It's the beginning of a new year and they sure are taking care of our skin and makeup to start the year off right! Thank you!! ;D

June GlossyBox

Jul 27, 2012 | | 0 comments
I know this seems way late as it is the end of July - I apologize!! I received this box at the end of June and it's been so hectic since!

Here's a peek at my JUNE GLOSSYBOX. If you don't know Glossybox is a monthly subscription deluxe sample service where you receive at least 5 deluxe samples per month for $21. Although yes, it is more expensive per month, I believe that the sizes of the samples speak for itself. You either get full size products or samples that you can't just 'get' from a store.

Without further ado, here are the products from the June Glossybox and my initial reactions:)

This month's theme was Summer Simplicity. I liked the idea of this, although as I will explain later, it wasn't my favorite theme :P!

Here are the products inside:) I love how they always have this!

Is it me? Or is Ahava in every subscription box? LOL Although I've never seen a body wash in one! This is definitely an amazing sample size and is perfect for traveling. I really love the scent! I'm going to VT in a couple of days! I'm SURE to bring this along with me!

It's funny because when I got this shave cream, I thought it was MOISTURIZER! I was in a rush that weekend I received my box, so I grabbed it and went! After I put on my skin (as if it were moisturizer), i was like how come its kinda tacky!? LOL Nonetheless, because I brought it with me, I used it and its amazing!!! You get such a close shave and it leaves your skin SO silky and smooth!!!

I wish wish wish I got this in a different color because I feel like it could've been so nice! Unfortunately for me, the black/gray color was just kinda patchy and was a bit difficult to work with on my particular eye because its so oily. I have this issue with a LOT of products so I have to play around with it!
here's a swatch of the product and it blended out. It looks quite nice on my skin - just a little bit tricky to use on my oily lid! I will play around with the product and hope it works out for me! :)
Here's a skin trio -- dang this stuff is expensive! I will have to use it sparingly! LOL
Here is a hair moisture treatment. I tried it once and it's quite nice! It's perfect for my extremely dry hair :D  in the summertime!

Lastly was a sample perfume which was a lavender-y grapefruit scent. It was very fresh and I personally kinda liked it but I know it can be an acquired scent that not everyone would like!

Personally, I thought this box was my least favorite of all the boxes so far, but that's because Im a makeup junkie. LOL - I always prefer makeup products over body/hair products, and in this box I got 1 hair, 2 body, 1 skincare and 1 makeup. BUT then again, this month's theme WAS summer simplicity - so i should've expected that! HAHA!

Besides that I think this month's box has great sizes and the products themselves are actually quite nice. Nothing that I would've gone to buy, so it was nice to get them!

HEY THATS FUNNY! I JUST GOT MY JULY GLOSSYBOX! I shall take pics and do a post soon! :)

GlossyBox MAY Box Review!

I was skeptical of what GlossyBox would be like. After the first AMAZING promo box, I knew that the second box would not be the same. Many new box subscriptions have AMAZIN BLAZIN first boxes and then begin to plummet, but I was pleasantly surprised!

If you don't know what GlossyBox is, it is a monthly subscription serve for $21 a month where you get at least 5 deluxe samples. The difference between GlossyBox and other boxes is that it is already an established subscription service that is sold in 19 different countries!

So as I was on my way home, I was so surprised to see not one, but two glossyboxes! I was thinking it was a shipping malfunction... similar to other *coughmyglam* subscription services, but the sweet Adrianne from GlossyBox sent me a free box as a thank you for reviewing the product on my youtube channel. She even wrote me a very sweet letter, which adds such a nice personal touch. I hope their customer service is as amazing as the customer service I've received from Adrianne :)

Blah blah blah, Okay so I know you just want to know what's in the box. In both of the boxes, I received the same products except for different color polishes.
This is what the box looks like when you first open it. It comes with a card with the theme "Beauty Around the World" and all the products on the backside. Each item features a product from a different country! HOW fun!

The first thing I noticed was a FULL SIZED zoya nail polish. I absolutely adore their polishes and I got two different colors in each of my boxes. GEEZ. I LOVE both of these colors SO MUCH! They are perfect for the summertime! I'm so used to getting the sample size from other boxes that getting a fullsize was a great treat!

Next was the Marvis toothpaste which I was glad to get because I've gotten a small sample (smaller than this fullsize) in my birchbox and I loved the toothpaste. It has such a nice strong minty taste and really left my mouth refreshed for a long time. I'm excited to try the whitening one!
I've been a long time fan of Amore Products, unfortunately I'm not  a huge fan of their HUGE price tag. Only when I've bought something have I gotten these awesome deluxe sample. I adore their moisture bound face cream, I'm excited to have two of these ;D
This looks awesome and is a HUGE sample. UM amazing. I can't wait to try this in my hair!

Despite the fact that this is a teeny tiny sample.... its BURBERRY. Come on! How can I not be happy? Not only is the color SOO neutral and gorgeous, they did not skimp on packaging! They had the same awesome burberry packaging on the box and also had the cool burberry imprint on the lipstick as well!

Lastly they gave a glossybox brush. It's kinda a powder brush I believe? I'm not a huge fan of it because it has kinda a stinky smell and I've been spoiled rotten by amazing brushes. So maybe I'll wash it and give it a try, but I think its cute that they have a "glossybox" label on it!

Overall I'm still blown away by the box so far. As of right now, the first box is a great first box after the promotional box. Even though the promo box had 5 full size products, I was still happy with the box I got!

I'm looking forward to seeing future boxes - super excited about this subscription... still :D

Check glossybox out and subscribe here <3
