Stella&Dot Charm Necklace

Oh man oh man. If you follow me on twitter, instagram or facebook, you would've known that I recently attended a fashion week style lounge for New York fashion week with some very good blogger friends. Holy cow, it was so much fun! I can't wait to show you all the fun details of that event - but I want to wait to show you Stella&Dot's holiday collection!! 

At the event, they had this cute-ilicous 'Charm Bar" where you got to pick a base necklace and pick two charms to put on it. Here's a pic of amazing Kelly of AlterationsNeeded & Mel from labellemel31 picking out their charms!

There were so many cute things to choose, it legit took me forever to choose! HA! but first, can we just talk about their packaging?  

Let me tell you - as a teacher for kids with special needs, I come home exhausted and sometimes very discouraged. It's so nice to open a box and be welcomed with such a happy and positive note. Thanks Stella&Dot for making my self esteem just a little bit higher :P hello gorgeous <3 

It's also so nicely packaged with spongey layers on the bottom and on top! 

For my base layer I chose the Watch Over You necklace

Then I picked a Signature Initial Charm obvi in J for Jessica :P 

Then I picked up this cute Birthstone Charm in May because my fiance's birthday is in May. Actually Just kidding. HAHA I picked it because I thought the color was pretty! LOL and I love how it has just a bit of browning to make it look really 'stone-ish'! so gorgeous! 

Another feature I really love about their necklaces is that it gives three rings to make it adjustable to the size you want!

And Here is what she looks like on my neck! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how when i walk the charms move and peek through. Sometimes you can see all of them, sometimes you can't! 

I have been wearing this baby nonstop since I received this on Sunday and I have not taken it off (except to shower and to sleep) and I've not only gotten so many compliments, and I mean i've only had it for a couple of days, but I'm extremely impressed with the quality of it! It is extremely durable! (I've had a couple students yank at it. oops)

Shoplately Arm Candy

If you follow me on facebook, twitter or instagram - you will know I've been OBSESSSSSED with arm candy! I get sad though because a lot of cute stuff is just so darn expensive. I was introduced to shoplately back in Jan or Feb and fell in love with the trendy styles and inexpensive price tags.

Here was my latest purchase that I received on Tuesday! I got this cute vegan leather spikey studded leather wrap bracelet in a dusty pink and this really gorgeous pyramid studded bracelet that alternates pastel colors with crystals. Both are extremely sturdy and I can tell these certain pieces will be very long lasting! (the shamballa bracelet was made by yours truly - a tutorial will be up in a couple of weeks) This picture was posted on my instagram when I received the goodies!

Hautelook Deal of the Day: Lucien Piccard

 The Deal of the Day for Haute look is the Lucien Piccard Gold and Rhodium plated Pearl Necklaces.

Usually I am very aware of hautelook sales and have in mind all the brands I'm going to purchase from, but this one surprised me! I saw it and thought, I love this!!! I picked up the pink beaded necklace (although from the picture i like the white one, but i know i would regret it if i didn't get the pink one), and in between the pink pearls, there are swarovski crystals. So timeless and beautiful! The best part is... can you believe the price? It's only 26 dollars off a retail of $150!!! What a steal! Plus, I had a $10 off coupon, so my total came to only about 22 bucks! whoohoo!! (I had to pay tax and shipping, whomp)

Holiday Gift Idea: Personalized Necklace

Wondering what to get for that special somebody??

Think no further :) I had been eyeing this necklace since the summer started, and finally ended up purchasing it mid summer and still love this necklace so much!

April's shop features beautiful handmade jewelry that is incredibly unique because each piece of jewelry is a little piece of art. You could tell that she pays close attention to detail because every single piece that she has is so beautifully hand crafted! She gets her inspiration from nature and her surroundings... and teaches jewelry and metal classes in Southern California. If I lived there, I would definitely want to learn from her because she is fantastic!

Her 'my name' necklace is made of sterling silver and is the perfect gift for that special somebody because each one that she makes is one of a kind. She hand draws it and designs it and will keep you updated each step of the way. I was really annoying and couldn't decide what type of style I wanted, but April was so patient with me to help me decide what I finally wanted!

It's of really great quality because I've had it for about 3 months now and wore it in the heat where I was dripping sweat, and it is still in great condition. She packages the necklace beautifully and even gives you an anti-tarnish baggy to put your necklace in when you aren't wearing it.

I would definitely recommend this necklace to the highesttt degree. I absolutely LOVE my necklace and think it was worth EVERY penny!

Pros: April!, beautiful one of a kind necklace, very professional, will get lots of compliments, high quality, timeless piece.

Cons: Expensive - $50 base + $10/letter : BUT it was worth every penny I paid!
