Pixi Multibalm Review

Sep 22, 2016 | | 0 comments

Moisture: Usually cream to powder products leave my face feeling ashy, but these dont! They have almost a semi matte feeling where it looks matte, but still feels slightly dewy on the skin. They leave my face feeling nice and hydrated throughout the day. I loved this dewy look for the summer, but am REALLY looking forward to it over the winter!

Comes in five gorgeous shades (perfect for all seasons! :P) in Watermelon, Baby Petal, Soft Strawberry, Wild Rose and Sheer Sculpt.

Longevity: It has a really nice natural finish - lasted the whole day when set with a powder. (at least 4 hours) On the lips, it surprisingly kept my lips hydrated, and looked a little bit like a stain after a while. It does look pretty matte on the lips but because of the shea butter, oils and aloe vera, it kept my lips hydrated throughout the day. I did have to reapply pretty frequently.

Blendability: These blended effortlessly... however I had to becareful, because sometimes i blended too much, that i think I blended the color out. lol. I needed to do minimal blending to get the perfect color.

Colors: Of course I gravitated toward wild rose :P the mauve pink color, but it has a wide array of colors that are very buildable! Soft strawberry seems to be the most vibrant (and stains the most)

Above is Wild Rose on my cheeks and my lips! The perfect natural swatch of color! :)

I think this is perfect for the girl that is always on the run. This is a perfect product to toss in your bag when you need an extra lift or when you need a quick 'healthy flush' - I gave some to my friend (who is a mom now) and she said its a godsend because how people don't ask her "how come she looks so tired" every 5 seconds. These are only $12 at target! Definitely less expensive than other multibalms out there :)

Will you be picking any up?! x

BTW.. let me know if you want a swatch post! <3

Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks: More Swatches!

Aug 24, 2016 | | 0 comments
I'm going to take a quick break from Japan blogging (have 3 more days to write about!) to share with you some more UD vice lip swatches. You guys KNOW I love these lipsticks if you read my original Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Swatch post.

Anyway... I was blessed enough to have Urban Decay send me a bunch more! They sent me Wende's (founder) top 10 picks! It's kinda cool and fun to see the different lipsticks that different people like. It's pretty cool because you can tell she's a very versatile woman! lol - she chooses browns to hot pinks to reds to purples to nudes... she's got them all! :)

Here are the lipsticks from L-R: Disturbed (CM), Conspiracy (M), Menace (CM), 714 (MM), Big Bang (M), Pandemonium (MM), Rocksteady (C), Naked (C), Firebird (C) and Backtalk (CM).

Because you guys know how I already feel about these formulas, I decided to show you my top three of these lipsticks! (Although that was hard because they are all so gorgeous!)

 Naked (Cream Finish): Nude Pink
When I first saw the lipstick, I was like aww no... it looks too light! (Kinda the way I feel when I see velvet teddy from mac lol) but it's not! The color on the bottom of the lipstick (which almost looks like yellow-peach) does not match the actual color of the lipstick! It's perfection in a tube and I think can be everyone's MLBB color! It does lean warmer, but I think this could still be a great fit for those who have cooler skin as well. I tend to stick to cooler shades, but this color truly brightens up my face!

Backtalk (Comfort Matte): Mauve Nude Pink
This is similar to the Naked except it leans a bit more cool (mauve) and has a matte finish (lol okay so they really aren't that alike...LOL)  Since cool tones look better on me, this is my perfect lip color (similar to my favorite Rush, but that has a different finish). I love that it has this matte finish, it looks polished but effortless!

Conspiracy (Metallized): Plum Bronzed Shimmer
At first glance, this just looks like a brown shimmer lipstick... but its SO much better than that! lol! I'm not one to really love shimmer lippies, but this one surprised me. It didn't irritate my lips and had a formulation just like the creams. The color from some angles look brown and some look plum and it is so cool! This is one of those lipsticks that make you feel badass and cool - maybe because my fifth grade teacher ALWAYS wore a shimmery bronzed lipstick and I thought she was the coolest person ever. This lipstick.. definitely makes you feel that way!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to try more lipsticks. Thank you SO much Urban Decay (and Monika!) again for sending these over!

Now they also sent over 10 lip pencils.... raise your hand if you want swatches!!!
(PS I've never tried these before so I have to give them a whirl first!)

OH. btw. if you want to see Firebird, Rocksteady and 714 in live swatches. Here was an old video of my swatches from the Gwen Stefani collection!!! I love those three hippies as well ;D (Starts at 5:11)

ftc. as stated above, UD sent me these products for review purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own! :)

Lancome Juicy Shaker Review

I've been testing these new Lancome Juicy Shaker products for a while now since they first came out and my dry arse lips have not been happier!

These are Lancome's newest pigment infuse Bi-Phased Lip Oil: basically speaking, a tinted lip oil. It's a pretty unique product as I haven't seen many of these products out except the YSL lip oil tints and the Milani ones. However whenever I can get my hands on anything oily and hydrating for my lips I will definitely do it!

This comes in a cute little tub (thats in the shape of a shaker, I die) and the thought behind it is to shake the two step products: the oils and the pigment. In turn, you get this super beautiful sheer wash of color on your lips thats hydrating and nourishing!

Top to Bottom Swatches: Show me the Honey, Piece of Cake, Vanilla Pop

Below are swatches of my lips of the three shades I have. You will see if how as I got to the darker shades, lip flakes started to disappear since it was becoming more and more hydrating on my lips! :)

Show Me the Honey

Piece of Cake (my favorite shade of the bunch!)

Vanilla Pop

And now my breakdown of the product:

Packaging: I love this packaging. I love the idea of it being in a shaker and the sponge tip packs in so much product that it makes it so easy to apply! It's such a unique packaging product. Usually I'm using a small doefoot to swipe over and over again, but I find I only need to swipe this once!

Smell: This product is much lighter than other lancome products, but still has its light floral scent to it. It's much fainter than other lancome products and I don't notice the scent when placed on my lips.

Formula: I love that this formula is packed with 5 different nourishing oils to pack in a gorgeous array of great benefiting products for your lips. It has apricot oil for hydration, rose oil for soothing properties, cranberry oil for antioxidants, peach oil for softening and sweet almond oil for nourishment. The more I used the product, the more my lips did feel hydrated and smooth. You will see in photos how the more I swatched, the less dry my lips looked lol! It provides a sheer wash of color on your lips with a gorgeous, smooth, nonsticky feeling.

Color: It ranges from light colors to some darker ones, and even a 'blue' clear color as well. Because of its sheer formula, however, I found that many of the lighter shades looked the same on me. The darker shades definitely stood out to me if you want more of a tint! Similar to other oil products, the longer your wear, the color will begin to fade quickly, but the hydration will still remain.

Longevity: I think this is where I would have to say the product lacked most in. It lasted about an hour before I had to reapply and the color faded within about 40-45 minutes for the lighter shades, whereas the darker shades lasted a tad longer. However, this is a very compact product that I was happy to apply often since it was so nice! :D

Overall - this is definitely worth trying! I think that its a super unique product that packs a lot of goodness into a little package. I think getting all 20 shades is not necessary since many of the shades look similar on the lips, however trying a bunch of the different types shades is definitely a must!!

They retail for $21.00 each and I ordered mine from Ulta.com and Sephora.com! :)
